Suitcase-Like Bags in EU

Seeking Recommendation/Help

Ideally I'd love to get the Cotopaxi Allpa 42L, problem is that it doesn't seem to be available for purchase in Europe.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a similar style backpack that unzips like a suitcase, available in Europe? Thanks.

Look at bags from international companies (North Face, Thule, Patagonia, Osprey, etc). You can usually find these at company stores and various retail places in Europe.

If you're willing to spend more and want something more professional and niche, the Slicks bags are from Switzerland. Don't bother with the internal organization accessories, they really add to the weight. Likewise, Heimplanet is from Germany but also expensive.

Do you have access to the WANDRD HEXAD Access Duffel? I actually switched from my allpa to this in the spring and love it (I love both to be fair) the wandrd is better at urban travel (rugged, versatile, holds shape well) and the allpa better for small planes (with small overhead bins) and trips where you plan to walk quite a bit with your bag (lighter, more pliable). They’re frequently on eBay, so you might be able to get one shipped to Europe that way. Good luck! You can’t go wrong with either

I bought my Farpoint 40 in England, so I'm guessing that Osprey sells their stuff in Europe.

Opposethis, Arcido, Heimplanet, Altitude Supply are all based in Europe

Check out eBay I’ve seen some on there.

Try brand called Crumpled and their Track Jack backpack - opens up like a suitcase and is 40L. Cabin size approved even by budget airlines like Ryanair. https://www.crumpler.eu/collections/track-jack/products/track-jack-board-backpack

I'm in the US so don't have brand recs, but at least here the keyword you'd be looking for is "clamshell", as in it opens all the way around like a clam shell.
