I've seen a lot of people say the 8 Pro's Near-IR camera is useless and that the photos look bad, which they kind of do, but the camera has a lot of potential for very cool, unique shots, especially of vegetation, with a tiny bit of editing.
Here's an album with two sets of photos I took a few days ago, the first one is unedited and the second is with some minimal editing: https://imgur.com/a/ZZ8P7rk
So don't write the camera off, if you just do a bit of colour grading the images can look fantastic.
There have been a lot of posts about black crush and green tint recently, but not that many people describe a good way to actually test for it and see if your phone is affected, and what you would see if your phone does have the issue.
Personally I use this video to check the black levels on my tv/monitor/phone.
On a good TV or desktop monitor you should see all of the squares up to 1, and they should all be various shades of pure grey, smoothly progressing from brightest to darkest.

Ideally I'd love to get the Cotopaxi Allpa 42L, problem is that it doesn't seem to be available for purchase in Europe.
Does anybody have any suggestions for a similar style backpack that unzips like a suitcase, available in Europe? Thanks.
Hey, about to pull the trigger and buy all the parts for a new computer.
Purpose is (largely) ultrawide gaming, 3440x1440p (Predator X34P), with some heavily multithreaded tasks every now and then.
The build right now is:

I'm somehow impressed by how utterly shite Sky Q is. Literally everything is a downgrade:
- 2005-looking J J Abrams lense-flare filled UI with fewer features than the old HD one
- No reminders. What. Fucking why?
- Harder to use favourites
- It takes an age to scroll through everything (unless you tap the button constantly...)
- Remote has fewer buttons, and the remaining buttons don't even work (guess the blue button for favourites and green for series link was too convenient)
- TV has a cool option of controlling your set top box with an IR emitter, which worked great for Sky+ HD box. Nope, doesn't work on Q (eh, TV's fault really)
- Can't set a series link for UHD downloads, or a remin
I have an odd, and somewhat annoying, problem.
Noticed that my apps unload very frequently, even my most recently used ones. Checked the memory usage and saw that the OnePlus Launcher is running 100% of the time and using around 2GB of RAM constantly, even though I use Nova launcher.
Force closing it helps for a bit, until it decides to start up again and eat up my RAM...
Running on a 6T, I went to the launch event got it a week early, this has consistently been a problem since then.
Anybody got a solution that doesn't involve rooting to uninstall/disable the launcher?
Hey, I've had my PS4 Pro for around a month now, but recently it started buzzing quite loudly. It's worse when playing a game (and very distracting, even from ~3 meters away with the TV up loud), but can be heard when on the dashboard, or even when it's in rest mode.
I assumed it was the HDD failing, took it out, booted the system, and it still made noise. Then I thought it'd be the fan, took the top cover off, cleaned it, but still heard it. Stopped the fan with my finger and it kept clicking.
It seems to be coming from where I assume the PSU is (back right, around where the power plugs in). So I take it that's probably the issue...

Hey, just got my new XPS 13 9370, a problem I ran into instantly is that the screen randomly freezes for a few seconds every now and then.
The laptop is stil responsive, I can turn caps lock on/off and the light changes, pausing/playing music works, and I can change the screen brightness as well. But the actual output to the screen just freezes.
Searching around a bit, this seems to be a problem that people have has with previous XPS laptops, and it's related to bad drivers, but past updating my graphics drivers to the latest ones I'm not sure what to do.
Has anybody else had this issue and resolved it somehow?
A few days ago one of my modules just stopped working, for no real reason as far as I can tell since I hadn’t updated anything in a while and nothing else has changed. I’m completely at a loss for how to fix this.
I’m using FTPClient to download some files. But the FTPClient module itself just isn’t working for me anymore, not on my main Windows 10 computer, my laptop running Windows 10, or my main Ubuntu VM:
