Convienent how “REGRESSION WATCH” disappeared when the regression reared it’s foretold head.
The regression wasn’t really going to be an accurate measure regardless bcs it’s not same defensive mind calling the game.. now it only makes last year like a fluke, which is bs
E: I’m not wrong.. you wouldn’t expect the same amount of td’s for Lamar with a different playcaller even if he had the exact same team. Not saying we’d have similar #’s, but it’s also not the same system.
Takeaways are random. Defense couldn’t be as aggressive this year as games were closer.
Happens every season. The team who leads the league in takeaways usually has a big dropoff the next year in the stat.
Easily means winning 5 more games to be honest
Kind of hard for the defense to take advantage of an opportunity when there hasn’t been many. Offense had been so bad it’s impressive they were ranked where they were at all. That, and Pagano using people wrong.
I could be wrong (didn't watch a lot this season) but wasn't Jackson playing in a different spot from last season?
Pagano was rotating Jackson and Haha. Couldn’t leave Jackson back there all game to be a ballhawk. We don’t have a real strong safety so that fucked us and instead we used Jackson to help out more, and it cost us.
I was down with Haha when we picked him up, but we really don’t need two dudes playing the same position, and it came to bite us. Especially with teams being able to control the time by running to often.
this is something I feel like a lot of people have glossed over, eddie and hhcd are both very talented but they’re somewhat redundant next to each other, amos was a better compliment to bojack (although he may not be the better player in a vacuum)
The nice thing about a strong safety is that you can fairly easily find another that can play in the box and make tackles. With Jackson being back there you don’t have to ask a ton for coverage.
We rank #1 in disappointments this season
