Last night I got a primal Band of Might from reforging (still slowly going through those bounty mats I got). Thorns on secondary is a bummer, but still very happy with it.
I had been using one with 74% on the legendary. I knew that was a lot of toughness lost, but I didn’t do the math until I got this ring. Turns out I had been giving up ~30% toughness on that stat alone. Whoops!

I got a primal band of might but it has all the wrong rolls. Kinda disappointed.

Was it like str, vit, and ias or something?

I got a primal band of might as well. Easily the most usable primal I have ever got.
80% damage reduction is really just insane, and it isn't immediately apparent how much more those percents matter when the single stat reduction is so high. Going from 70% to 78% was about 600M toughness on sheet for my Barb

What is the meta for rings then?
I am using Band of Might / CoE and I have Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac in the cube.
I don't play barb but for some reason I thought you cube BoM and wear obsidian
Generally you do, because getting a max-rolled BoM is absolutely critical (each missing % is 4% more damage taken). But if you have a primal BoM then it's not an issue.

Well for me personally I have pretty good BoM and CoE rings and all my Obsidians have been garbage so I’ve cubed those.

Ok, gotcha. As long as you have 80% on BoM, I think that’s the the better ring to wear, since the main attributes on OrotZ are kinda pigeon-holed. OrotZ doesn’t have to worry about legendary ranges though, so early on in the season with crappy rings, it might be better to cube BoM.

Have you looked at leaderboards? Unless it changed in the last day, all the top solo barbs were definitely not using crimson, and with much more than 800 paragon. I’ve heard it suggested that after you have a few thousand paragon that crimson can be better on barb, but definitely not at 800.

Wow I didn’t realize the Crimson set was buffed that much. I haven’t played since season 3 pre-Necromancer so it’s been like a whole new game.
What makes you say that? It’s not a great primal. But it’s definitely better than a OroTZ

I also got a band of might primal this weekend! My fourth usable primal on my barbarian.
So far one BK sword, Lamentation, CoE, and now Band of Might. I'm having an incredibly lucky season this go round.
I power leveled a Demon Hunter yesterday to play Multishot and I gambled a primal Restraint ring almost immediately, luck is through the roof right now.

Wow, besides amulet, you have probably the most coveted slots for primal covered. Coe and Lamentation both have a huge range on legendary, and Band of might’s range while smallish also make a huge difference. And then a weapon to top it off. Grats, man.
Yeah, this season has been kind of absurd for me with gear. Even my ancients have very good rolls on most of them, my other non primal BK sword is almost as good as my primal. It rolled with 10% damage and 10% cool down reduction 990+ str. It's about 2950 damage on it, the damage roll is pretty good but not perfect. I'm not even sure if I rolled a primal version if it would be as good.
I don't have a great Istvans set but that's ok, I have a couple of ancients but they aren't as great as my BK swords. I'm pushing GR 120+ with the BK swords which im ok with, not particularly interested in the leader boards. I also find the BK swords more fun and fluid to play with, don't like the slower whirlwind and the fury drain with Istvans.
I might focus on trying to gear the Demon Hunter a bit more now, I find Multishot a lot of fun.
