I like kinetic games. Unfortunately a lot of them require to reach up pretty far, for some things, which in my case results in my controller banging into the ceiling. A situation that is sub-optimal.
So what's a good game to play and move around in that doesn't require sudden upward arm movements?

I've dinged my controller's on a light fitting quite a few times now even during calmer games lol. The Quest is great for smaller spaces where you couldn't easily set up sensors however the games still expect you to have a good floor space and normal height ceiling.... My dream is to have a room dedicated to VR
Ya, thought the easiest thing would be to get something portable. Unfortunately, by the time I got some free time to go track on down, they were all sold out. Still will be a plan later.
Still hit the ceiling now and then, which isn't too bad. Hitting the ceiling hard is another thing entirely, tends to wake people up, and is a bit of an immersion breaking shock.
Agree with the dedicated VR room thing. Remodeling seems like overkill though.
Buy kneepads. Play kneeling. Problem solved.
Not really, since it basically defeats the purpose of moving around. Might as well be sitting in a chair and playing. Thanks though

Pistol Whip! You will get quite a workout. :)
Also I imagine boxing games should work fine since you try to hit things at your own head and body height. Thrill of the fight has excellent reviews and is cheap.

Thrill of the fight might be good, although some concern I'd have problems with things like overextended uppercuts and wild swings at the head of the opponent. Easy to get a bit carried away. Maybe less of a problem in boxing than in games with overhead attacks though.
