(surprisingly?) board PCBs are amazingly resilient, super difficult to break - that must have been a very powerful blow, probably by a sharp object, edge-like or sth, to inflict this kind of wound

if you have an old mobo at home - do try and break it, or best, imitate this kind of damage, you'll see what I mean
