Girl I’ve been seeing for a month doesn’t like me being dry in text convos so she wants her money back (even though I spent money on her too)

Tell her she isn't welcome on your property and that you don't want to hear from her again. If she doesn't cease communication, forewarn your local authorities that you feel threatened (call their normal phone number - don't use the emergency line).
Also, say that if she wants the money, she can go to small claims court, but remind her that you'll have a counterclaim if she tries.
Thanks for the advice dude. I can always count on reddit to pull through with this kind of stuff.
But it would be hard to cut all contact with her because we are in the same major at the same school, so I might just bite the bullet just to get rid of the headache associated with her.
Don't pay her anything please!
Okay, seeing there are multiple people saying this, I will not pay anything.
Good haha and if she throws a fit send her to this tread so maybe just maybe she can get some clarity lol
The reason people like this do this is because they weren't told "nope" enough.
Please don’t give in. If you let her win, it won’t EVER end. Trust me.
Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, do not give her a cent. If she even tries to start anything at school go straight to your Dean/college head and file a formal complaint. I have had students need to do this for their own safety/peace of mind and it makes a difference.
That’s a great idea. Thank you and interesting that this isn’t uncommon.
People being jaded and jilted then making an ass out of themselves in a quest to obtain "justice" and authority figures have to step in? Happens all the time.
I really liked her end of "understood?" As if she just laid down the law. In reality she just provided you with an evidence trail detailing her premeditated harassment. Not going to look good if the cops get called. You might even be able go get a NCO out of it if she actually shows up. Then it wouldn't matter if you share a class because legally neither of you can speak to one another. Let's just hope that if it comes to that your professor won't place you two in the same group project lol. Although I'd love to see you showing your professor the no contact order lol
Do. Not. Pay. Her.
If it wasn’t borrowed money and it was just her buying you things than if I was you I’d bill her right back for what you’d bought for her.
This is exactly what Judge Judy would say too.
I’m surprised you lasted a month with this shrill harpy.
Wait, we can demand money we feel was wasted back? Oh man, my ex husband is gonna get such a bill!
Yeah, there's definitely an untold backstory that OP isn't telling us here...
Basically, I wasn’t that much interested in staying with her, and I should’ve communicated with her and not been so dry instead, but out of no where she gets very aggressive about it. So I was like I don’t want to deal with that anymore.
In regards to money, after you break up with someone I’m pretty sure you don’t just pay for everything the other person spent on you. We had a good time while we were together, so if I paid her back it would be like those times were like a waste and she didn’t get anything from it.
She would casually say you owe me so much money and Id say sure jokingly when I have money but I guess it’s my fault for not taking it too seriously and I feel kind of dumb for telling her that. (That was all when i didn’t have a job)
Wait so you agreed to pay her back? There was an understanding that you owed her?
Did you spend money on her too?
It was not “clear” that there was any money owed as to me, it seemed that her saying that I owed her money (before this time) was just a joke. I did spend money on her.
Respond with "I just need to ask Joe what he thinks about this" and wait for your moment.
Get it on video and share if she shows up.
Just give her$31.41 thats half.
Wait for her to come then call the cops. End of story
Calculate how much you spent on her and tell her to go fuck herself.
Honestly, when she expects her money I’m just going to make a venmo request and make her furious
Maybe you should pay her and apologize, it's only 60 dollars. Silver lining is you'll feed her entitlement and she'll keep at it in a next relationship, then we'll get an even better story... I hope her next thing is on reddit.
Haha that would be cruel but I’d do it just for that.
