I actually hope the internet gets censored, and the assholes in charge only let us go to facebook and yahoo or some other outdated site for information (for a fee).
Why would anybody, let alone a dude on reddit, wish such a thing? Because once people have no compelling reason to sit and bitch about things they do nothing about they will get off their fucking asses and rally in real life where people at large will notice.
I already know people are going to say, "hey, but I do shit on reddit and help society in real life too." That's awesome, and keep up the good work. However, most young adults tend to bitch about things in politics when they don't even vote. To be honest, I might not have voted in recent elections either, if I didn't live in Oregon where they make it easy by allowing you to mail in your vote.
Also, the Jon Stewart rally doesn't count. Getting thousands of young people off of their computers long enough to see and hour and fifty seven minutes of terrible comedy and three minutes of "I'm serious now, what's wrong?" doesn't mean shit. But congratulations on the people who picked up the trash that didn't even need to be there in the first place.
tldr first world governments would be idiotic to get rid of the opium of the young people - relatively cheap and open internet. Thank god they're idiots
