QoL Feature Request: Remote Water Pump Management/View

Discussion

To my knowledge, there is no way to remotely view the settings of a specific water pump. You have to manually go to each water pump to access the configuration to see things like flow rate and Head Lift. This process is fine for most things in Satisfactory; however, Water Pumps, by nature of what they are actually used for, are usually inaccessible making this process tricky.

It would be nice to be able to access water pumps remotely so we can fine-tune their placement. If not a remote access system, then let us see how much Head Lift they currently have when we are looking at it from any distance.

Right now, I am (without a jetpack) relegated to either building a staircase/foundations up to the pumps or going to the top and jumping down onto each water pump to double check them. When I am pumping 3 oil lines 60m up in the air, that is a lot of checking and potentially many parachutes used.

If I'm wrong, and there is already way to do something like this, please let me know.

My current thoughts for a fix:

  1. Change the graphic so it has a large number visible on the outside showing the Head Lift

  2. Massively extend the range that we can press to configure a Water Pump

  3. Provide some sort of terminal at the Water station, or one that we can manually build and place on the line somewhere, that allows us to see and configure each pump ahead of it: i.e. Water pump 1, 2, 3... Limits can be placed on it if needed, like only being able to see the next 5 pumps in line - or can only see 500m up the line before having to move the terminal (or build a new one).

Fix #3 is my favorite, but does anyone have any other ideas?

TLDR: Provide some way for us to check how much Head Lift a water pump has without having to physically be right next to the pump.

I imagine some combination of research with mapping tech would suffice to make this balanced *enough*. Definitely agree it's a need.

Yeah exactly. Even if it's something that comes from oil tech for example or requires a microchip. Honestly, that's a bit late in the game for me to get a feature like this, but it would be nice to have either way.

I've thought we needed something like this for power plants for a while. It's super frustrating to have to go manually inspect each one to figure out which one is flaky. The light bars on top are never easily visible for a whole plant
