Commission Update!
Howdy everyone, just over a week ago an artist offering commissions posted to this sub and I decided to give them a shot. The art was actually finished before today but I was a bit tired and forgot to post it last night. The original post can be found here if you're interested. Prior to this I've actually never worked with an artist before so the entire experience was great and I'd highly advise giving it a shot yourself if you're considering it. I'm rather pleased with the outcome of this endeavor and Anthony included all the little bits I specified while keeping me posted with updates throughout the entire process.
Lore Stuff: "Alexander Anderson" is the first character created by a friend of mine in the campaign I run. After 15 sessions or so the group decided that they'd like to stop being murderhobos and "retired" their old characters in a totally not planned fire. For some reason their newly created characters were such good people that they immediately rushed into the blaze and rescued their old murderhobo buddies faster than they could burn to death. After a short rest, Anderson got into a little scuttle when he was provoked by the group's new wizard and, being an assassin rouge, that ordeal ended rather quickly for the level 3 wizard. That wizard was actually a new player we were adding to the group and didn't quite understand the rest of the group's warnings... oops? Anderson, along with the old gang of their previous characters, are now on the run and making trouble everywhere they go. The new group is hunting down Anderson's Gang throughout their travels, I'm sure sooner or later they'll get fed up enough to make him priority number one. In his travels Anderson found an incredibly powerful ring that provides various bonuses to stealth, hence the shadowy tendrils that now wrap around his arm, and preferred a utility shovel in conjunction with his trusty crossbow.
I don't have as much experience working with artists as others might on this sub but if you like the look of this or some other work done by Anthony I'm sure he'd be more than happy to work with anyone who inquires about a commission. Here's the finished product now.
