Should I give up on my rook?

Troubleshooting/question existing piercing

I got my rook pierced in November of 2024 and it is STILL enflamed like almost a year and a half later. I’ve heard they can take a while to heal but it’s starting to feel kind of ridiculous. I’ve got hEDS so it takes a lot longer for me to heal things, especially cartilage. The piercing has been totally fine some days then it’ll be irritated and have a bump with my ear feeling sore to the touch for like 2 weeks. It’s at the bump stage again and I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m wondering if it’s even worth it. I got an upper helix done in February 2025 and that already feels much much better than my rook.

For context it’s a curved titanium bar and was done professionally so jewelry

Foggy Memories

Was This Sexual Assault?

Hey everyone, I’ve kinda been wondering how to classify what happened to me. Just to be safe, I’ve marked it as NSFW to avoid somebody wandering into this post accidentally.

About a week or two ago, my best friend, my at the time boyfriend of one month, and myself were drinking pretty heavily to the point where I was barely conscious/occasionally falling asleep. We were sitting on my couch and I only remember little bits and pieces of what happened that night, feelings more than anything. She noticed that I was totally out of it and my (now) ex was aggressively making out with me/she “heard sucking sounds”. She told him to stop but he yelled back at her that I was his girlfriend not hers an

Hey everyone, I'm creating a new D&D campaign right now and have decided to put the players through a series of trials each corresponding to an ability score. The players are going to level up over time rather than complete them all at once and hopefully each trial will be similar to a dungeon. Does anyone have any cool suggestions for trials/suggested level?

Howdy everyone, I was just planning an encounter for my PCs where they’ll be fighting a pack of werewolves and was wondering, in the event that one is bitten and fails the CON save, how long does it take for lycanthropy to kick in if bitten under a full moon?

The group is knowingly heading into a lawless region under said full moon and have magical/silvered weapons so this shouldn’t be a slaughter. I’ve been debating how to go about this properly and haven’t been able to nail down an idea I’ve liked so far. Instantly turning to a werewolf doesn’t make much sense and would hinder the pack from consuming humans yet being completely unhindered that night also doesn’t feel quite right. Does any

Howdy everyone, just over a week ago an artist offering commissions posted to this sub and I decided to give them a shot. The art was actually finished before today but I was a bit tired and forgot to post it last night. The original post can be found here if you're interested. Prior to this I've actually never worked with an artist before so the entire experience was great and I'd highly advise giving it a shot yourself if you're considering it. I'm rather pleased with the outcome of this endeavor and Anthony included all the little bits I specified while keeping me posted with updates throughout the en

Howdy everyone, I’ve been considering having my party find some kind of magic item that would hint at the presence of a nightmare (ideally an interesting item that utilized the wings of a pegasus)

The item could be a simple reskin or something entirely new, does anyone have any cool ideas that might work?

Howdy everyone, a player of mine is running a one-shot for us in the next few days and I’ve decided to ask around for some cool ideas. We can create a homebrew magic item/select an already established item and will be given an additional item “by lottery” at the start of the session. I’ve decided I want to play some kind of warlock but, when asked whether I should build more RP or Combat, I’m told to just make a fun character.

So here we are, what kind of fun level 3 character (preferably warlock) with accompanying magic item should I play?

Recently, I’ve been debating something the like of “specialization” among select wizards that study specific spells and alter the way in which they function for them.

Here’s an example: A wizard has gained such mastery over mage hand that he can now control two at the same time rather than one.

I think having some variety like this could be a fun experience so long as it is used sparingly in order to emphasize the effort required to reach this point. Do any other DMs have any kind of experience in this region? Is this something that sounds as if it would break the game?

EDIT: Spelling

Howdy everyone, my players are going to encounter an enemy next session that, when threatened, is going to drop a darkness spell.

Darkness states that, “If any of this spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.”

I KNOW their most likely source of damage is from moonbeam, would you rule that the beam is canceled in darkness?

In the game I run an npc is attempting to become a lich (and has been for quite some time with various questionable deeds). In the event that they succeed, how long is the transformation process? I’ve read online they drink a potion of sorts and die a “slow agonizing death”, what would this death look like?
