Hit and run, left some bumper behind
My friend had her almost brand new Civic side swiped by an oncoming SUV while stopped at traffic light, driver took off but left behind part of their bumper. Hoping someone can help identify make/model. Impact was front left (drivers side) of the SUV to the front left of the Civic.
Best guess so far is a Ford Escape from the body shop guys, painted bumper with metallic paint, but if anyone can say so definitively that would be awesome. Can take more pics if needed.

Not sure if it’s possible at this point; but you could figure out if it was an Escape by measuring the height of the damage, then comparing it to the bumper height of an Escape.
Also, anything else she remembers about the other vehicle? Shape, number, and placement of head/tail lights can help.
Good idea with the bumper heights, car is already in the body shop though and without knowing what year or part of the bumper it is (or an Escape to measure) I'm not sure it will come to anything. I'm not sure what the Escape guess was based on, they also suggested a Taurus for some reason but that doesn't seem to fit the description so maybe something else made a connection to Ford?
She describes the headlights as a large surface area and high up, it was dark and happened fast, not a great witness.
