Are these thoughts a problem?
I wouldn't consider myself depressed...I have a somewhat decent life and all. But I keep getting these recurring thoughts that I should kill myself. Sometimes it's just an intrusive "I want to die" and then it goes away. Sometimes the thought comes and it causes me pain. Other times it seems like a good idea and I really do want to do it. Am I really suicidal or is it something else? I see a therapist but it's for substance abuse. Should I find anotber one more related to mental health or can I make these thoughts to away somehow? Thanks.

You may really be depressed. Depression isn't an overwhelming feeling of despair - it's a numbness that makes all your emotions vanish and makes you think, "why bother continuing." If you can relate to that then you may be depressed.
Ok thanks, I guess it makes sense. I just don't want to go on meds, I was on them once before and I had a bad reaction.
Then don't go on meds.
However, do:
Yea I do all that, and I'm trying to improve all around. Just sometimes it seems like too much work and I wanna be out this bitch, lol.
I get that, it takes time. It's frustrating, I know.
