On the topic of canon and gameplay, the cycler rifle goes entirely against canon. It should be higher damage then four shots to kill, especially when the T-21 is three.

Once again this is a video game, not a simulation. There’s plenty of things that go against canon in this game and people just need to learn to deal with it.

Edit: and you might want to check your stats, with no modifications the Cycler Rifle and T-21 deal the same amount of damage.

This guy is talking about the damage values of a blaster, you’re talking about Snowtroopers on Endor

Yeah plenty things go against Canon like snow trooper is on Endor but it’s a video game let us have fun

There’s got to be a limit to things, man. Ewoks on other planets, that’s fine. They’re reinforcements, let us use them wherever. But the default skins for maps like Hoth should stay put.

As Ben said, it's not a 1:1 recreation of Star Wars. It's a video game.

Unpopular opinion : I love this gun, it requires skills but can be deadly once you master the yellow overheat stuff

Pretty sure anything we know about the cycler rifle canon wise comes from BF2015. Particularly the idea that physical projectiles penetrate shields, which contradicts precisely established lore.

Obviously this is no longer the case in BF2 and since we have to treat the battle scenarios in the multiplayer portions of Star Wars videos games as canon (🤮) it comes down to which game's multiplayer is more canon, BF2015 or BF2.
