Better safe than sorry, I have been following this closely for the past 5 weeks and I expect it to get much worse. Some epidemiologists are saying the cases will double every 6 days, which makes sense when you look at the spreading throughout Italy. I believe we are only at the beginning, you don't want to get caught in a lockdown or quarantine in a foreign country.

I am still going to be in USA but def do not want to be quarantined!

Hi! Just sending some support from the Netherlands. We're starting to get in a bit of a pickle here too ;). Hang in there, for everyone who is dealing with this of course!

Thanks, Lee as I have been so looking forward to my one year!I will be partying right along with everyone no matter where I am! I am supposed to be in midflight on my one year soberversay! I did not even plan the vacation as I am going with 10 others so thought that was a great thing then. I feel like we need to cancel it! Maybe the others will agree with me this week. So far they think I am over reacting but starting to think I need to!

They are saying the elderly and those with compromised immune systems are most at risk. Use good hygiene practices - lots of hand washing, sanitizer if you can't use soap & water, and bring along some Clorox wipes to wipe down the tray and armrests on the plane (I'd give those overhead buttons a wipe, too, in case you need to turn on the light or buzz a flight attendant); I'm sure you'll be fine! Keep in mind, unless you have cancel for any reason insurance, if there is no travel advisory for wherever you're going then regular cancellation insurance won't cover it. Check with your travel agent or the whoever you booked with and see what your options are.

Got my clorox wipes ready! I am somewhat of a germ phob so I always use good hygiene! I will have to check on the travel ins for sure! Thanks

This is not a great time to fly, but if you are young and relatively healthy and not going to a foreign country your risk of getting sick and/or trapped somewhere are relatively low... it is definitely stressful though. Airplanes are pretty germy as we all know. I would not set foot on a cruise ship right now, that's for sure.

No cruise ship for sure! I am healthy but I am not young! Several of our party are way older than I! If I was young, I would not even be concerned for myself.

Stop listening to the news. wash your hands. go and take your holiday. return home totally fine.

May have to! I kept thinking, it is just the media causing panic but now I am wondering if we are being told everything! Can go both ways!

Unfortunately, this post is not on the topic of quitting drinking and has been removed.
