bombed a exam and idk what to do

in a discrete math class and i had a 77 on our first exam... took my second exam and was thinking I got in the 70s ish only to get it back with a 33...

I know around half the class and found out that everyone I know besides one person failed this test...

would it be rude to go to my professors office hours and point out where I think I should have gotten more points? If I knew I messed up on this test I would let it be but I thought I was confident about the content.

anything I can do in general? pretty sure he doesn't curve, bet other people have been in similar situations

You should go to office hours with the exam. Bring your your notes and any problem sets you did before this. Work through them with your professor. Not for getting more points, but for figuring out where you went wrong and how to do better.

I know it is depressing, but stick with it and you can actually improve.

You going to him won’t make him curve the class or anything but it would help you. If you go in asking for explanations for how he grades and help for some questions you’ll a) have a better understanding of the concepts and what he expects and b) if there is something you should’ve gotten points for it will come out during the meeting.
