It starts with a twangy guitar intro then goes right into a loud scream that I can only put into words with "YEEEEHOOOOOOOOO!" Anybody have an idea of what the song is?
edit: I found out what song it is. It’s “Closer to Free by Bodeans.”

I mean the only think I can think of is Hey Ya by OutKast lmao
Highway Tune by Greta Van Fleet?
Nope, not that either.
What kind of music is it, or what kind is definitely not?
Had you heard it before?
Any idea of whether it was new or old?
I guess it could be a mix of country/rock. I've heard it before, can't remember where. I'd assume it's somewhat old. (90's early 2000's)
I heard it in a Meijer grocery store.

Mint Car by The Cure
Not it. I wish I could explain it better. It's almost like a "YEEEEEHAAWWWWWWW!"
Smells like teen spirit-nivana?
Do you remember anything after the beginning of the song, or is that the only part you remember?
That's the only part I remember. twangy guitar lick "YAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
Hm, this might be a bit of a stretch, but could it be Do The Evolution by Pearl Jam?
Black Eyed Peas - pump it ?
The beginning sounds similar to what you said
"Song 2" by Blur
That song definitely is similar to what I described but that isn't it. The guitar intro is shorter and less chunky in the song I'm thinking of, compared to Song 2.
