I think the Ryzen 5 3600 will suffice for my needs. I don't really run any beefy games, mostly stick to long-form strategy titles like Civ, Transport Fever, etc., with games like Skyrim and CS:GO thrown in for fun. Anyway, not planning on overclocking or anything and from what I understand this CPU delivers a good bang for the buck. Not sure if I need the aftermarket CPU cooler. Aside from noise reduction, will it have much impact on performance?

Only have 1TB SSD as this is more than enough for my needs. Due to streaming services my media library is basically nonexistent, and I will have more than enough room to install Windows and any Linux distro(s) I would like to play with in the future. But could be convinced that I should get an HDD or another smaller SSD if it will improve performance.

The keyboard is a price placeholder: hoping on getting an equivalently-priced keyboard from some online retailer, hopefully with some cool key design or something. Could use input on the monitor - I went with the Pixio because I was told it was superior to my original choice (Dell S2719DGF 27"), but not sure why IPS is better than TN.

These are the areas where I would appreciate some general input, but am open to comments on the overall build as well. I think the case looks good but could also be convinced to go for a cheaper one, too, especially if airflow is better. Originally had Fractal Design Meshify C.

Thanks in advance!

A quick over view of different panel types.

TN: Garbage in the year of 2019. TN has unacceptable color reproduction and bad viewing angles. This makes for an inferior viewing experience than other panel types. It is even worse for larger panels, because the bad viewing angles create color shift from the center of the screen to the corners. The saving grace of the TN panel is that it is an inexpensive way to get high refresh rates, but even now that's not valid with VA panels reaching the same price range with far better colors. The only case when I would recommend a TN panel is if you are an esports gamer and want 240hz, because no 240hz monitors with other panel types exist at the moment (but they will soon).

VA: VA panels solve many of the main problems with TN panels: they have vibrant colors, better viewing angles (not as good as IPS but a lot better than TN), and are at a very respectable price point. The main issue with VA panels is that they introduce ghosting. Ghosting, also known as pixel lag is when pixels are retained on the screen even after they were meant to disappear. People's experiences with them and the amount that the ghosting annoys them varies greatly, but nobody can deny that ghosting exists. Ghosting can be reduced with LMB (Low motion blur) software and OD (Overdrive), but will not be completely eliminated. VA also has the slowest response times out of the three panel types, but the difference shouldn't really be noticable. Many VA monitors are curved, which is nice but not a game changer. Overall, VA panels make a compelling choice at their current price point but are not perfect.

IPS: Currently the grail of PC gaming monitors, IPS has brilliant viewing angles, the most accurate color reproduction, and has no problems with ghosting. The only major issue people have with IPS is that it is expensive, and even so, the price of IPS panels are dropping (as seen with the vx2758-2KP-MH - Ethan ( Copy Pasta )
