First time building PC since 2014

Build Help

(Note: I posted a similar build a few days ago and didn't get any responses. Did some more research on my own and came up with this.)

Title says it all. Being trapped inside all week has inspired me to put together a dream PC. I think it is in good shape at the moment, but I am always looking for more input.

The keyboard is a price placeholder only. Not a big fan of the RGB keyboards, and in general have tried to make this build as simple as possible. Attempting to navigate r/MechanicalKeyboards confusing wiki to find the best keyboard/caps for me - but will take some more time.

Specifically wondering if I can do better with the motherboard and PSU, but would love input on all parts.

Major uses would be day-to-day stuff (web browsing and office work) and gaming, obviously. Looking for a satisfying 1440p gaming experience, never having had one before. Would be looking to run a heavily modified version of Skyrim or large maps in Cities: Skylines, Transport Fever 2, and Minecraft. So this build might actually be overpowered for those purposes, and if so I would be greatly interested in saving money. Will occasionally play titles like Witcher 3 or other graphics-intensive games, but not frequently and not with an eye toward setting FPS benchmarks.

Planning on using the SSD as both boot drive and for programs/games. 1Tb is more than enough for my needs, but could be convinced to purchase a smaller (~250Gb) SSD as a boot drive. Hoping to partition boot drive to explore Linux distros.
