I remember they did it at least once before in December 2018. It's possible that they'll do it again in the future as well, but there's no way to tell.

Keep in mind that you can only do it once per account, so you may want to add a decent amount all at once to take advantage of this (for example, fellow Canadians adding $50 would get a bonus $5, which is essentially a free discounted movie).

Can you use it to actually purchase products, eg iPad? Or is it only for iTunes Store content

As far as I can tell, it gets credited to your Apple account. So any future charges will get taken out of your credit balance.

To answer your question, yes.

Might as well load up on $200. I did $150 but now I wish I did more because I have iCloud and Music too.

Thanks! Yea that was my assumption too but wanted to verify. Every time I’ve redeemed a gift card it’s been used for services so I would think this wouldn’t be different.
