Dodgy woofer in Jamo C 93?
I bought myself a pair of Jamo C93's about a month ago (paired with a second hand onkyo tx sr576), and so far they've served me well so far. However, about an hour ago I stopped getting much noise from the woofer in the left speaker. It started working again after cranking the volume, however this obviously isn't a proper solution (my flatmates certainly wouldn't appreciate it).
Is the issue likely to be the woofer in the speaker, or could it be some sort of issue with the receiver? I don't have any other speakers to test the receiver with, but given that the tweeter was still working I'm leaning towards the speaker being the issue. I'd certainly prefer to get it fixed sooner rather than later, as I'm unsure of my situation regarding warranty on the speakers is.
Update: The issue seems to be the speaker, as the problem follows the speaker if I swap the speakers while keeping the cables and receiver the same.

Step one is always check the cables to be sure the connection is good
Then swap speakers to see if the problem follows the speaker or is a re iever issue
Now I'm wondering how I missed such an obvious way to check. I had already checked the cables were inserted properly at both ends, and the problem was still present after so I'm gonna rule that out.
Only issue is, the problem seems to have gone away for now after blasting music at higher volumes for a bit. I guess I'll just swap them and see if the problem comes back over the next few weeks.
Is it possible for it to be a receiver issue with the tweeter still sounding fine? I would have thought it would be all or nothing given how the lower frequencies just "popped" back when I turned up the volume enough, but I guess the lower power requirements of tweeters could make this happen if the receiver was just struggling to put out enough power for some reason (it should have plenty of headroom even at the louder volumes I was using).
Its likely one of the wires connected to the woofer/crossover, inside the speaker, is loose. You might have vibrated it into a more secure connection when playing it loud. I'd check to rule it out.
Given how the woofer either works perfectly or not at all, I'm guessing that's what the issue is. I'd rather send it in while it's covered under warranty though, as I'd have no clue what I'm doing taking the speakers apart and would likely make a mess of it. Also easier incase other issues arise later and it needs more warranty work.
Yeah, the C93 has that ring around the woofer lip that covers the screws, and I can't say whether it'd be easy to get off or not. If it was, you'd just unscrew the woofer and pop it out.
