Extra districts on Ringworlds
Is there any way to get an additional district on a ringworld segment? Including any reasonably balanced mods?

I believe all you would have to change if you wanted to change it yourself is the planet_size value of ringworlds in the Stellaris\common\planet_classes\00_planet_classes.txt file
I'm aware of that. Looking for in-game methods.
Ah ok, none that I know of.
not without modding, i haven't looked into any mods that would change ringworld segments district space but there most likely are some good ones
Reasonably balanced mods
Is there such a thing?
If you're increasing the number of districts on ring worlds any semblance of reasonable balance goes out the window anyway. Food and research focussed sections are powerful already with just 5.
Yep, a pure Research focused ring section can produce 4 times as much as a fully upgraded Science Nexus. Yet another reason why Shattered Ring is such a powerful Origin.
Those Jobs require a lot of POPs, though, and that means Food, Consumer Goods and Sprawl.
...Food? What are you, organic? Don't worry, not everyone can be technologically ascended.
Yes...
"additional districts on a ringworld"
"reasonably balanced"
Pick one
Ringworlds are, if anything, at least ten orders of magnitude too small in terms of available pop density compared to planets.
Spending ~20% or more of initial purchase price to add a district would likely be balanced.
Not quite sure what you mean by "population density". Do you mean that it can house more? Because you're wrong if that is what you mean. District wise ringworlds provide double the amount of housing as a max size planets if both have only housing, and the picture doesn't change with techs, traditions and rural districts.
Look - either way I'm not trying to get into a fight about ringworld sizes or argue if it should be done.
I'm just asking if there is either a method to do in in vanilla, or if anyone knows of a mod which isn't just 'lol have 100 ringworld districts for 1 alloy!'
If you want a mod with it and can't find one that you like, learn to mod. It's quite easy.
From a perspective of realistic sizes, ringworlds would have millions of times more surface area than an earth-sized planet.
From a perspective of game balance, spending 20% or more of the purchase price of a ringworld segment to add a district would be reasonable.
I mean a dyson sphere produces as much energy as much energy as 1000 technicians (before techs). Realism isn't exactly that possible in stellaris in it's current state. And realistically speaking ringworlds would take more time and resources to build then is possible in the game, nor can the game handle the population it could produce if they were to scale. And 20% more cost for districts would hardly be a balancing cost. And honestly ringworlds can provide you colonization options of the equivalent of 4 size 50 planet and when you get to the point where you are building them, you should be able to spam them.
