Escapist fiction with no sad feels?

Can anyone suggest me a fantasy which won’t put me through sadness / injustice / hopelessness or any other negative feelings please?

I need something escapist but I’m so on edge that if the author wants me to feel 2/10 sadness I’m going to go 10 all the way!!

Character based is good, doesn’t have to be action filled ... ?

The adventures of Sherlock Holmes is pretty escapist and indulging.

Gosh, that's a big ask - outside of children's fiction, nearly all books have SOME saddish moments.

Only thing I can think of so far is Bill Bryson's early humorous travel books. Absolutely no misery in them, a lot of laughs, and interesting places. I recommend The Lost Continent [States], Neither Here Nor There [Europe] and Notes From a Small Island [UK].

Bonus if you listen to them as audiobooks because they are read by Bryson and he Has a wonderful voice and cats properly excited at the exciting parts LOL

You might want to look into certain Japanese light novels. One that I've read, that I recall being pretty easygoing, is called:

"I've Been Killing Slimes For 300 Years And Maxed Out My Level."

Yes, that's the actual title. And it's pretty cozy and non-sad. Well, maybe sad if you're a slime, but I trust that you're not. :)

Maybe Percy Jackson and The Olympians? It can get a little sad, but there's always a bunch of jokes and the chapter titles are delightful

Maybe Discworld by Terry Pratchett? The books aren’t really sequential just loosely connected. I’d suggest starting with Guards! Guards! or Wyrd Sisters.
