Seeing actors from boardwalk empire or the wire getting togheter again, really improves my mood when watching a show
I have never seen the wire, but I assume some of them were in that?
Chalky White actor gained his fame as Omar from The Wire. One of the greatest characters from a tv show. First season might seem slow but all hbo tv series designed for multiple seasons are slow at the begining.
Honestly, if even 10% of the depiction of the actions of the government are true every single officer involved and every person they have sired since then needs to be shot in the head, burned, and buried.
Very compelling regardless.
It's sad but this kind of stuff happens all the time
No wonder there are so many militias in America. This Country is just as corrupt as any country in the world
I’ve seen every possible documentary/show re:Waco and this was the FIRST one (for entertainment value) to ever remotely humanize the sect members instead of demonizing them. I appreciated it a ton for that. Also, the acting was pretty darn good.
I did think it went a little too far into the sympathetic territory though.
These were crazy cult people that were armed and dangerous using children as hostages. The doc treats them as misunderstood fundamentalists.
What the fbi did was terrible, but this was pretty one sided in my opinion.
I also did feel that they were too sympathetic to their situation. The kids did not need to be there at all.
Me personally, I would have NEVER let another man make a decision for the safety of my son. But some people are lost and put 100 percwnt of their faith in David. Either way, the government killed them
You could tell it was made by someone with a distrust in government / antigovernment in general, because it was super heavy handed. Pretty much hand waved everything the BD did, and made them to be helpless victims.
The Gov't still overreached, but I'm not gunna cry over the BD like this wants me to (exception being the kids)
