Spike in uninstalls on app updates ?

Discussion

Each time I make an app update, I see a spike of uninstalls at that date. I assume this is a bunch of users that see a notification in Google Play, realize they did not use the app for a while and do not need anymore and uninstall it ? Is anyone else seeing this ?

Yes this is fairly common.

There was a bug on Play Store recently last week during update it told me I lost 50k users overs 5 days, but 3 days later they were all back :)

Be sure to look at the uninstall from release dashboard this one shows consistent data with what I observe, and usually not spikes there.
