Shockingly, the PSREF states that the max is 4K/30Hz over USB-C, which I find very strange for a 2020 laptop. It makes no sense.
Has anyone having an IdeaPad 5 hooked it up to a 4K monitor via USB-C and confirmed if it is limited to 30Hz or if will do 60Hz ?
If it is really limited to 30Hz that is major bummer !
Each time I make an app update, I see a spike of uninstalls at that date. I assume this is a bunch of users that see a notification in Google Play, realize they did not use the app for a while and do not need anymore and uninstall it ? Is anyone else seeing this ?
Current setup:
- Thinkpad P72 with NVIDIA Quadro P600
- Distro: openSUSE Tumbleweed
- Kernel 5.6.2 (also happened with older kernels)
- NVIDIA drivers 440.82 (also happened with older versions)
- Xorg 1.20.8
- Firefox 74.0.1 (from standard distro repo. Also happened with older versions)
- WebRender enabled (gfx.webrender.all=true)
- Desktop: Plasma 5.18.4 with compositor, or i3+picom (it does not matter if compositor is enabled or not)
- using an external 4K monitor over Thunderbolt 3 (DisplayPort)
The problem:
Whenever my monitor go to sleep via DPMS (either automatically or via hotkey triggering xset dpms force off), after a few seconds, Fi
I'd really like Plasma to never ever modify the GTK configuration files stored in ~/.config/gtk-3.0 (to match whatever Plasma configuration is), notably messing with colors.
Is there any config toggle to tell Plasma: "get off my GTK config files !" ?
For those of you that frequent this sub since DOOM 2016 was released, when did this sub turned into a meme-only sub ? I mean, what happened ?
...there is always at least one user that wants it back to English (the default language), while his device's system primary language is set to the language for which you just added the translation...
And we're talking about a professional and full translation here, not some horrible Google Translate job...
Unless I missed something in the dev console, I did not find a way to specify a different link for the privacy policy for each country. Is that possible or are you supposed to handle all languages in that unique link ?
In particular, and to my dismay, Google Drive does not support ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE, thus you cannot pick a folder on Google Drive (for example for saving a file in it). That's incomprehensible since you can open a file with Google Drive with the SAF using ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT.
So you cannot save a file to Google Drive with the SAF (unless I missed something) but you can open files from it. Makes total sense...
Is there any cloud provider (or anything else than local storage) that has implemented ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT_TREE ?
In Bash 5, there is a progcomp_alias shopt parameter. From man shopt:
If set, and programmable completion is enabled, bash treats a command name that doesn't have any completions as a possible alias and attempts alias expansion. If it has an alias, bash attempts programmable completion using the command word resulting from the expanded alias.
Let's take an example with systemctl
If I type systemctl <TAB><TAB> I get programmable completion:
add-requires enable is-system-running preset show
add-wants exit kexec preset-all show-envir
I'm desesperatly trying to have krunner to recognize commands in additional PATH entries, namely ~/bin.
I created ~/.config/plasma-workspace/env/path.sh with export PATH=$HOME/bin:$PATH
but krunner refuses to run any command that is in ~/bin. It only see commands that are in the standard PATH.
Any idea on how to fix this ?
