I need some help troubleshooting bed adhesion issues
I seem to have some sort of issue going on that I can't quite figure out, I've narrowed it down to something having to do with the filament or how the filament interfaces with the bed ... so I'm basically confident it's not a movement issue. Thus I turn to the experienced members of this subreddit, hoping someone recognizes the issue.
I have a Maker Select Plus that I've owned for ~2 years, but I've been using it less lately since it seems to be having issues with bed adhesion. I can print solid-bottomed shapes with decent surface area fine enough, but any kind of complex shapes touching the bed become a mess.
Here are a few pictues of an aborted print and the bottom of a completed print from earlier today. The partial print had some concave sections that I had hoped would turn out ok but instead ended up getting touched and dragged around by the nozzle when they peeled up. Because of that, I killed the print and dropped the model ~2mm into the print bed to get rid of that concave section for the next print. The completed print finished ok overall, but had iffy adhesion on the bottom due to a rough surface. I also included a picture of the skirt before I removed it from the bed, just in case that's helpful.
At this point, printing is becoming frustrating, rather than fun. I know the printer is capable of much better quality, I've had it do so in the past, I'm just not sure what's going on with the bed adhesion or nozzle dragging stuff around that's causing these issue. So, does anyone have any ideas what I should be looking at and trying to see if I can resolve this issue?

I've seen suggestions of cleaning the bed with soap n water. Have you done that? Do you use any products to help adhesion like glue etc?
I have a PEI print bed (attached to a sheet of borosilicate glass) and I clean it by wiping it down with 91% IPA (generally before every print).
In the past, the PEI has worked great, but I suppose I could try and give it an extra good cleaning, just in case that's the issue.
