So, I'm looking for a bit of a sanity check here. I'm planning on making pork belly burnt ends on Sunday, but I'll have the smoker filled with ribs on Sunday too. My thinking right now is to dice and smoke the pork belly on Thursday and vacuum seal it to be re-heated in a sous vide and then cooked with sauce on Sunday in the oven.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience doing things like that previously and if anyone has any thoughts/tips/etc on the details of how to pull that off well (every time I make burnt ends it feels like it comes out good but not amazing, either too fatty or too cooked or something).

The setup:

I have pfSense running on a VM on a Proxmox machine. All the traffic to the other VMs goes through pfSense, with the appropriate ports forwarded and all. Most of the traffic goes to a nginx server/reverse proxy on one of the VMs and gets redistributed from there, but there's also another machine that port 22 gets forwarded to for SSHing in to the cluster.

The problem:

From time to time, something goes wrong and when I try to connect to one of the pages that nginx should be serving/proxying I will instead get a ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED error. If I reroot pfSense (5->r via the Proxmox interface), everything instantly starts working again, which is what makes me suspect that

##Background/Goal

I recently picked up a R320 that I'm planning on setting up as a Proxmox machine running on ZFS. I also picked up a small M.2 SSD and PCIe to M.2 adapter card, to run the OS itself on (to keep it distinct from the larger drives for the VMs and their data).

I believe I want to set up the data drives as a vpool of mirrored vdevs (each vdev in the pool is a pair of mirrored drives). I think that's the right way to set up what amounts to a RAID10 in ZFS.

The PCIe card I got has two M.2 slots, one that goes over PCIe and one over SATA. My plan was to set up the SSD as a vpool with a single-drive mirrored vdev, with the idea of getting another drive and SAS to SATA ad

I'm looking for some help and advice moving forward with regards to my home server setup. I currently have an old repurposed desktop running an E6600 with 3GB of RAM and a ~160GB HDD (I'm not even sure if the mobo has SATA connectors). That machine is pretty dated by now, so I'm looking into getting another server to replace it. I'm quite familiar with regular desktop PC builds, but this seems like a good reason/opportunity to get more into the server hardware side of things. However, the different form-factors of server hardware and such is a bit intimidating, it's definitely a lot more complicated than "throw an ATX mobo in a standard case with standard hardware and turn it on".

So, I've noticed an issue with the Ark wiki, specifically the Explorer maps aren't showing Supply Drop icons on them.

I did some digging and I've isolated the problem, but I don't know quite enough about the internals to be able to fix it (and I think it might be protected). So, I'm wondering how to contact the people who admin the wiki to fix it.

The specific issue is that the CSS that creates the styles for the various beacon "Pie" icons is including a reference to a specific revision of the icon which is 404ing. It can be temporarily fixed by editing the CSS to truncate the URL that the CSS definition points to, but it needs to be fixed in whatever file builds that page.

So, does any

I could use some help figuring out what's going wrong. I'm hosting an Ark server (via Ark Server Manaager) and it is starting up and running fine (and one of my friends can connect), but I'm having trouble connecting myself. I was able to get on once, but that seems like it was more of a fluke than anything and I haven't been able to replicate it.

The server is hosted on a fairly fresh Win10 install with ports 25810-25830 and 27015-27025 forwarded to the machine through the router (to leave room for the eventual cluster I want to create). The current server is running Aberration on server port 25810 and query port 27015 and it has Crossplay turned on (since some potential players have

Up until restarting to apply the recent patch last night, our Ark server (running via Ark Server Manager) was allowing 100% imprinting from one action. After that restart, imprints give a small percentage of imprinting per action.

To our knowledge, no breeding-based settings or anything was changed on the server side, but clearly something has changed. What could have happened between the patch and restart that would cause imprint percentage per action to change?

I seem to have some sort of issue going on that I can't quite figure out, I've narrowed it down to something having to do with the filament or how the filament interfaces with the bed ... so I'm basically confident it's not a movement issue. Thus I turn to the experienced members of this subreddit, hoping someone recognizes the issue.

I have a Maker Select Plus that I've owned for ~2 years, but I've been using it less lately since it seems to be having issues with bed adhesion. I can print solid-bottomed shapes with decent surface area fine enough, but any kind of complex shapes touching the bed become a mess.

[Here are a few pictues of an aborted print and the bottom of a completed pr

I've been looking into starting to buy my own airsoft gear, but I'm having some trouble figuring out what battery charger I need to get and am looking for some advice. I did look at the subreddit wiki/FAQ page, but all the battery-related links are 404-ing, so that's not a ton of help.

I'm currently planning on picking up a Specna Arms Edge SA-E09 and one or two Turginy Nano-Tech 1200mAh 2S batteries (which I believe are 7.4V batteries that should fit the gun's default connector).

The recommended charger seems to be the iMAX B6, but I'm trying to

I'm working on making a page that allows saving a few boolean values for the intersection of two different models. I think I need a many-to-many relation through a related model. Here's roughly what I have in that regard.

def A(models.Model):
    name = models.CharField(max_length=200)

def B(models.Model):
    rows = models.ManyToManyField('A', through='Row', through_fields=('my_B', 'my_A'))

def Row(models.Model)
    my_B = models.ForeignKey(B, on_delete=models.CASCADE)
    my_A = models.ForeignKey(A, on_delete=models.CASCADE)
    col1 = models.BooleanField()
    col2 = models.BooleanField()
    col3 = models.BooleanField()

I'm currently working on developing a website to replace an existing website that was created in WordPress and is, I believe, hosted on GoDaddy.

The new website is written in Django instead, and I'm planning to use Apache to host it and likely run a small PostgreSQL database for the Django database. I'm familiar with Django development and Linux IT/hosting through work, but I haven't had to worry about actually getting servers myself in that regard.

I'm completely comfortable taking a bare Linux machine and configuring it as-needed, I'm just new to trying to figure out the hosting side of things. I'm tempted to spin it up on a spare Linux box in my house, but I'd prefer a bit more upti
