How many deals would a “good” mortgage agent close in a year?

Sort of a vague question but I’ve been sending about 1-2 mortgage deals a month to a mortgage agent that works for a major bank. I was curious as to how much of his “business” comes from me so I thought I ask this question to other mortgage agents so it would be too rude to ask it directly.

There is no hard rule. It is often more based on volume $$ instead of deal amount. Like in most businesses 20% of agents do 80% of the volume.

Pay is anywhere from 50-100bps(100bps being 1%) per deal. Mortgage brokers towards the top of that and bank agents towards the lower part of that.

10-20 million a year is considered good.

My old buddy who was a broker said the "stars" would close 200 deals a year.
