The USA is one of the friendliest places to visit/live

After having Italian businessmen and mechanics here at our plant and do nothing but bash our women and talk smack about Folgers it got my mind remembering all the traveling ive done and the best and most curtious people were in small town america or talking to some group of people outside a bar on the South side of Chicago for hours.

If you've ever had coffee in Italy, you'd understand their Folgers bashing.

Folgers isn't trying to be Italian coffee, so I'm not sure why anyone would bash it for NOT being as good as Italian coffee. It is kinda moronic bashing something for being not being something it isn't trying to be. It would be like bashing a Ford Fiesta for not being as good as a brand new 2020 Ferarri SF90 Stradale. There are PLENTY of good coffees in the US... just like there are bad ones also... the same as in every other country in the world.

Totally! Its just some good average coffee if you know what i mean.

Bro, if you think Folgers is "good average coffee" you have been apparently drinking swamp water your whole life. At best you can say Folgers is better than instant, it's like a 2 or a 3 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Yeah see thats called an opinion, thats like saying if you like music youd like eric Clapton a bit above a 5. Folgers is affordable for me. I drink it every day and i like it. Ive had the Italian stuff and that tastes like swamp water to me. Its at my work and its there for us to use but it sits there.

Your car analogy doesn't work because Folgers does claim to be good coffee and its marketed it that way. So yes, they're marketing a Ford fiesta as a Lamborghini. Also my attack on Folgers has nothing to do with the country it comes from. Its seriously just shit coffee.

Like I said in my other reply. Would I take for free? Yes. Would I spend my hard earned money on it? Absolutely not.

Hey the last part I'll respect all day. At least youre not smug about it.

I have they brought their stuff here with them.

Then you understand their hatred :)

Hey, I love coffee. If all that's available is Folgers and it's free, sure why not? But you'll never see me pay for that stuff.

It's literally free at my job. And honestly I don't really mind I like a cup of coffee as long as its not out of a vending machine

I’m an American but I live in South Korea. I’ve also lived in Spain. America is a nice place, a much nicer than a lot of Redditors make it out to be.

However a common complaint that foreigners have about us is that while we are friendly on the surface, it’s only on the surface and any attempt to make a deeper connection with an American is futile. We have a reputation for being a difficult group for making long-lasting friendships.

After living abroad for so long now, I myself find Americans generally unreliable and overly concerned with status. Friendships with us are almost always made out of convenience.

Of course, this doesn’t apply to everyone, but overall I think it’s true.

You clearly haven't been to Japan yet.

Also an American living in South Korea.

Do you not find that friendships with Koreans seem to be just as difficult to make? I would describe them as "superficial." As a foreigner, they do seem to be straddle the line of convenience. I'm beginning to think that this just may be a global issue or rather due to the fact that I am older and making deep friendships is a bit more difficult in my 30s than it was in my younger years.

I’m not going to lie, yeah this is pretty true from experience. But as a Brit I bathe in misery and hatred, so I trust and like a miserable person more than a happy go lucky one.

1
dylanhello89OP•

Yeah I feel that. And as well as do I and everyone else here. But its more like we give you 1 chance and if you violate that its over. I dokt have alot of experience with British people. But it would be cool to meet some in the future

USA is THE worst to live.

So the US is worse than China, North Korea, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Venezuela, El Salvador, Libya, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Eritrea, etc?

3
dylanhello89OP•

Youre not going to convince people like this lady. Theyre so smug and up their own butts that they would defend Iranian government and North korean dictatorship over a good ole fashioned American barbeque.

NavinRNorton•

Make sure you don't come running to us when the Russians start coming over the north pole and claiming your territory. We'd hate to insult you with our help. And Canada can eat shit.

2
ZealousidealRise7•

I don't agree with what they said about the US, but you totally just proved their point.

1
dylanhello89OP•

Hes just talking shit. Its what we do. Even the Italian mechanics I mentioned in the post thought we were being serious when they first got, here and then they started opening up and doing it back in good fun.

ZealousidealRise7•

No, I understand that. I live in the US too. But it was kind of an ironic place to do so.

2
dylanhello89OP•

Really? I went to canada before 9/11. They were some of,the rudest people I ever met.
