Mars Pro - UV LED makes high pitched noise while on
I've googled the ef out of this and found no one else mention it. It's very annoying.
Every time the UV LED's come on (while curing each layer) there is a very high pitched noise, like an old tube TV but louder. It's actually very close to the pitch of my tinnitus (lol?).
I've only had the printer for 2 days but man, this sound is grating. Does this sound like a faulty LED array? Or is that just what the pro sounds like?
EDIT:
After opening the unit I've tracked down where I believe the noise is coming from - it's so high pitched it's hard to tell exactly where it is. Maybe this will help others.

Hmm. Doesn't sound like an capacitor I've ever heard... And why would a brand new machine have a dying capacitor?
Because tolerances and these things can happen.
I would agree that it is likely a cap somewhere. Whether that is in the voltage driver for the array or somewhere on the main board itself is the question. If it is new, I would contact Elegoo about it before trying to replace it yourself.
Thanks. I opened the unit up and I think I isolated the sound to a PCB, which does have 2 caps in it and cap-like thing I'm not familiar with. I added a pic to the post. Also, this board is attached to the array, so it prob is the 'voltage driver' as you said.
That is indeed the voltage driver for the array. I would contact them to let them know, and they should send you a new driver board at the least. If you're not up to snuff on soldering, nows the time to learn!
:D
It's not hard, finding adequate long term tools is the hardest bit.
I would link some tools to get if you needed them, but I've only used Weller stations and wouldn't know what is reliable or not from the less expensive units so I don't want to make bad suggestions.
