Man, I am happy to see some logical comments here on reddit. Has anyone noticed every news article on Facebook related to this on Spokane is filled with some of the most disgusting and hateful anti-quarantine narative? I'm blown away so many residents in Spokane are this foolish. I see dozens of comments portraying this stay at home order as nazi germany. That is so wrong and selfish.
Especially on the local posts about the casino opening up. The general consensus seems to be "if ur worried just stay home, rest of us will do what we want!" That doesn't work! You're spreading the virus while we stay home but we ALL have to get groceries. Every unnecessary trip you make, makes the grocery stores a higher risk for us all.
Anyway, thanks reddit. I felt alone and like the people of spokane were completely lost before reading here.

If the city enters phase two my boss is going to strip our hazard pay because clearly the hazard is over. Right guys? Should have no concerns working with the public.

Yea for being in an essential industry my boss gave us hazard pay which amounted too a few bucks an hour extra.

Well, we need a plan that minimizes the instances in which this kind of choice is necessary. You should not have to choose between feeding your kids and exposing them to a pandemic.

The problem is that you working exposes your neighbors, your family, your circle of friends, and everyone they interact with to an incredibly virulent disease. You have a family to feed, other people have a family they would like to keep alive.

I think I'd feel better about this letter if the Spokane general populace were actually wearing masks when in public. I don't have much faith in our ability to move to phase 2 responsibly as a population (from what I've seen the majority of businesses are doing great).
Yeah, this makes no damn sense.
