FYI if you're new to controls, Controls.com has an actually quite good series of articles they do on the million little things that you probably don't know going into your first gig. If I was a new engineer or technician I'd be reading every single one of these, and once in a while I still learn something! Their forum isn't half bad either. I am not affiliated with them in any way, I am just impressed by how much effort they put into these articles.

I know MVNOs on average don't have great customer service, but this is unusually bad.
I placed an order on the website back on 6/10, more than a month ago at this point. I ordered two SIM cards, each of which with 3 months of service, so like a little over a hundred bucks. I received my order promptly, around 6/13. Only problem is instead of having two preloaded sim cards, I got one preloaded sim card and one additional 7 day trial card. So I got half of my order.
I figured maybe it shipped separately so I waited a while, and still no SIM. If I paid 5 bucks for just a sim I would have just paid for another one but I was out like 50 bucks after tax for this missing sim so I contacted mi

spokesman.com/stories/2021/dec/26/100-years-a...It seems to me based on a read of https://wiki.polkadot.network/docs/en/learn-staking that the Polkadot consensus mechanism is awfully reminiscent of EOS - I 'delegate' my consensus power to a small group of validators that I am not able to join myself. Why is this necessary? Why not have open validation like ETH or similar? It seems substantially more centralized.

strawpoll.me/18924809Does anyone have a suggestion for an inexpensive but rugged PLC capable of CANopen master communications out of the box? I am designing a CANopen based electric vehicle conversion and I need it as a master alarm handler, a safety device as a backup to individual component safeties (in the event that a BMS fails to open it's DC contactor, for example) , as well as a data aggregator and interface to the infotainment system / HMI. It need not be particularly fast but it should be well-sealed and preferably use open authoring software or software I can obtain inexpensively. Microcontroller-based approaches are acceptable but something that programs in CODESYS or something IEC 61131-ish is prefer
Does anyone have any horror stories with ICF jobs that have gone bad? What are your opinions of them as a building material vs. regular masonry unit construction? Does anyone have any stories about performing crack or other repair on structures that have been in service long-term?
