Feature Request - Position Changes

It's totally cool how the AI assigns to the depth chart based on skill at the position, not official position. But it does make it hard to see at a glance whether I've balanced the roster correctly. And AFAICT, there's no way to change a player's position outside of God mode. Is there anything going on under the hood with assigned position like yr-to-yr progression, play simulation, or injury risk? It appears that the game calculates ability and potential at a position already, without regard to position assigned.

The CB who won defensive RoY by rushing for ~750 yards (while also playing nickle corner IIRC) is amusing, but something I'd like to be able to change at least for players on my team. If position is not impacting game outcomes or otherwise impacting computation, it would be really nice if there were a way to change position on the UI.
