Waiting for one of you hobos to write "a love story from the ashes of Arby's" and please make it a ballad

First line goes, “I used to eat roast beef, but now I’m vegan and I just plain got the beef. (Shout And response) - Where’s the beef!”

WE HAVE THE MEATS

I live in Minnesota. This post is disgusting. We don't love to see it. There are protesters and then there are rioters. People are driving from all other states to burn down our city. It's fucking depressing. We're helpless.

It's not one Arby's. It's our entire city. It's small businesses, its homes, its everywhere. Last night curfew went into effect at 8pm and the National Guard was gone by 8:30pm. They just packed up and left. There was nobody trying to enforce it. No cops, nobody. I could see on live streams fires just starting and I live 10 minutes away. I could see fires starting near a home I lived in and houses of friends and family. Even during the cleanup yesterday there were some still trying to start fires. I could't sit at home and watch these fires get worse when I knew where they were starting. I grabbed hoses and fire extinguishers and hoped for the best while I drove back into Minneapolis. By the time I got there I could see the flames from a mile away I turned around in the Target parking lot where people were back to looting what little was left. I had no choice but to go back home and wait to see what the damage would be the next morning. Do you know how hard it is to sleep when your city is burning down around you?

Lots of the people here are anarchists who are upset that they haven’t earned anything so they destroy what other people have. They don’t seem to understand that you don’t have to be a left wing anarchist to listen to folk punk.

yea commies gonna do the cult thing. they cant abide other opinions because the opinions they have formed are so useless and baseless that even the slightest breath can completely obliterate them. the type of gatekeeping you see here is another cult symptom...they dont even have the self awareness to evaluate their own behavior patterns.

a bunch of suicidal depressed alcoholic weaklings who think they are going to rise up and fight a war. its a total joke.

its literally the persona most of you embrace. lol wow the delusion is so deep with you huh?

please attempt to stand toe to toe with me on the facts of history and philosophy though. it might be tough since you literally havent taken any time of your life to understand anything in depth.

I’m very anti-authoritarian but I’m also a full blown capitalist. I think the government should be minimally involved in the lives of American citizens, and I also believe that business is generally self regulating in the sense that if you don’t like your situation at your current job, you can just find another.

Honestly, I think we could find a decent amount of common ground outside of the economy. I’m not one of those right-wing authoritarians who think the people should be ruled with an iron fist that you hear about in the news. Many of us on the right are very libertarian and we all probably agree on more than we think.

Has anybody read "letters of insurgents"? I dont think burning a capitalist establishment really shows anything. I understand they are mad because justice isnt there but what is their goal if they do over throw the city? If they dont have a captain with a vision it's just pointless destruction. Spain and mexico fought to establish a new system of anarchism and ended up getting stomp by the other parties with higher influence. I'm just wondering your thoughts that's all.

bottom100OP•

Idk for me it’s just a good sign and a good demonstration to the people by the people that we have the power to topple this country if we were more organized. I’d like to see a strong revolutionary party take hold and be able to direct this kind of stuff towards an actual tangible movement, but we’re not there yet.

Idk I think a lot of the perceptions we have in the west about vanguardism are reallllly skewed by the propaganda of our media and education systems. It’s not as nightmarish as one might think. The panthers were a vanguard party. My problem with ancom and basically all anarchism is that it can’t defend itself effectively while imperialism still exists. But I don’t think we’re gonna convince eachother of our tendency over a reddit comment thread.

Yeah but that's not what we actually want, is it? Just an outlet for our powerlessness in every day life. It's just nice to hide behind a cause while you needlessly destroy shit.
