Jack simply said rioting and burning down your own home isn't helping, and that energy should be placed into becoming a better person. Peaceful protesting is encouraged, but rioting and looting isn't helping anyone.
all the times prominent black people did peaceful protests? You probably can’t remember since absolutely nothing happened.
Yeah, there's no way black folks peacefully stayed in a bus seat, or marched on Birmingham or Washington peacefully for civil rights. /s
Don't misconstrue my comment as support for Jack's statement because his was super tone deaf. But let's not pretend that peaceful protests never accomplished anything.

Nah man, read it again. It was very much victim blaming. Saying to put your energy into being better people to the people that were wronged is completely missing the point why they felt the need to become violent in the first place. You can encourage peaceful protesting as long as you can also understand the reasons why people have been pushed beyond being peaceful. Blame the society that has pushed people to the edge, not tell the people that have been pushed that they need to improve.
Much better than Jack's "statement."
I imagine since the family also owns the Bills, a tone-deaf response would be much worse in that regard.

Actually, something did happen.
When they peacefully protested they were shot and killed. So yeah, peaceful protest hasn’t been working for a while.
