Sometimes, yeah. I finished something and the last three chapters were done in one night. It was such a rollercoaster because I loved the world, I loved the story, and it was actually turning out well.

Like I'd been published before. I'd even won an award or two. This was a full-length novel that was actually coming together.

Sometimes we hit these thresholds. I think one of them for writers is the threshold where "I'd actually read this". This can stand toe-to-toe with anything else out there. It might not necessarily be as epic or whatever, bit as a text, as a narrative, it's solid.

I'm getting giddy just recalling that feeling, so thank you for letting me remember it.

Sometimes it's been asked "how many great moments of your life were ones that you experienced by yourself?". For me, yeah, finishing that story is up there.

Hi -- we're not here for emotional sharing or simple DAE threads. We need substantial discussion content about actual writing.
