Sooo that's it... No prizes at the bottom of the box?

In Obama's own words, the death of Usama Bin Laden was the main objective of this whole war on terrorism. Now that that's been achieved, does that mean we'll start the process of pulling out? I've seen a lot of mixed news claiming Usama was the head figure but not so much of a driving force. So what makes US think the death of one terrorist cells leader is going to make things magically become rainbows and bowls of lucky charms? Not downing a monumental achievement or anything, but isn't this a bit to early in the game to be celebrating? Personally I'm a bit more stoked to see the end of this Orwellian war. What do the great people of Reddit think?

I don't think anyone really thinks that.

There's a lot of work to be done, a lot of high ranking Al Queda officials are still out there.

There structure is still in place and radicals will act violently in response to Osama's death.

It is certainly worth celebtrating though. It's a crowning acheivement in the "war on terror"

How so? We killed our main target after wiping out how many civilians? After 10 slaughter filled years. Not to mention more American deaths in the war than the actual event that ignited this all. Yeah, sounds like a great fucking reason to celebrate. I'll be raising my flag half way today... Tl;dr we killed the main cockroach while killing 1000 more American's in the effort that got us into this mess in the first place. Woopty fuckin doo!!! Hey, go America ;]

No, it won't end soon. As another redditor has already pointed out, only Mangalores don't fight without a leader.
