I've emailed multiple companies/airlines in regards to the proper procedures involved. Was just curious as to whether anyone on here has had personal experience with taking their four legged buddy back to their home country from the mainland? Would love to hear how it went.

I've been experimenting with Yunnan coffee beans from various plantations, some big company some small co-ops. Results have been pretty surprising and ultimately will make a great base for some blends I have in mind. Wondering if anyone else on here has had any experience roasting Yunnan coffee?

Hey guys, am having problems with BitTorrent and just checking to see if it's anything to do with the great firewall. So are there any other folks here having difficulties or you reckon I just need to dive a bit deeper into the hardware? Thanks for your time.

I'm looking to buy some tools that won't break upon first use. anyone have some good locations a guy could purchase a sturdy ax, shovel, and pick ax? I bought a pick ax last summer and shattered the handle after the first few swings. Turns out it was asian white pine. To soft for rough work. Went back to HomeDepot and they had nothing but. What happened to the sturdy oak handles?

After abandoning my English degree and traveling for a bit, I'm heading back to Uni next year, and am looking for some ways in which I can prepare myself ahead of time. Do you guys know of any online refresher resources that are easily accessible for Math/Bio/Chem? I've taken Trig, Calc, Alg, some 200 level Bio&Chem courses but it's been some years and feel I should start from the bottom on my own these next few months so I can hit the books hard when I return. (side note, I have no access to my old text books, as they are in an entirely different country.) Thanks guys for your time and I love what you all do here! I hope to be among the ranks one day.

My wife and I live in China with our 10 month old. We'd like to get him a few special items for the holidays but it seems toys these days are just crap. I'm already working on making him this stuffed dragon in a red Chinese patterned cloth. When he's a little older he'll be receiving my old metal Tonka toy collection, but it's a little soon for that. So we hope there are a few other decent suggestions you guys might have.

Licensed drivers of China, I've jumped through all the hoops to obtain my drivers license and am now just waiting to take my written exam. Those that have already taken the written test, do you have any insights or help? The Gov office didn't have any English study literature thus I'm out in the blue as far as what to expect.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Thought this was interesting "A vehicle with a military license plate may not follow any rules. It may not stop at a red light or go the wrong direction."

At the end of asphalt tucked away amongst the foothills of the Himalayas exists a destination for the truly adventurous climber. Towering far above the pine and rhododendron forests are the 200 meter sandstone walls of Liming National Park. The car loaded, cams oiled, and the dog only to be out done in drooling by us gawking climbers, its been no more than a year ago we first stepped foot in Liming. Filled with ecstasy at the thought of hundreds of first ascents, our hopes were quickly dashed as we were greeted by a park official at the gate curious as to our intentions during our stay. Maybe it was the two bursting duffels bug covered and strappe

Really curious here, how many climbers on Reddit travel more than (oh lets say) 20 hours to go climbing. Better yet, how many go to foreign nations to send?

We all know hot air balloons function via the use of heated air and what not. But what if we used steam instead? Or would the amount of water needed to stay afloat negate the lift created?

Bored out of my skull here in Foshan (waiting to pick up my passport). Will than head back to Northern Yunnan with a day layover in Kunming. Anyone in town looking to go snag a beer?

We've all gotten that urge to jump off a high point while looking down into the abyss and what not, but tonight was something different altogether. Almost Russian roulette-esque I opted to take a motorcycle taxi home tonight rather than the much suggested encapsulated and typical car. For a bit of back ground I reside in a heavily populated Chinese city, and anyone who's ever been here before knows. Chinese traffic is resemblance of a school of fish. Neither knows where the next will go and neither really cares. Upon saddling up I asked the driver to jettison me home in the shortest amount of time feasibly possible. He obliged and off we were. Weaving in and out of traffic I close

In Obama's own words, the death of Usama Bin Laden was the main objective of this whole war on terrorism. Now that that's been achieved, does that mean we'll start the process of pulling out? I've seen a lot of mixed news claiming Usama was the head figure but not so much of a driving force. So what makes US think the death of one terrorist cells leader is going to make things magically become rainbows and bowls of lucky charms? Not downing a monumental achievement or anything, but isn't this a bit to early in the game to be celebrating? Personally I'm a bit more stoked to see the end of this Orwellian war. What do the great people of Reddit think?
