This subreddit (including some comments in this very thread) led me to the impression that Overwatch is a dead game.

Nooo Overwatch is milking everything they can out of that game. It’s not as popular as it was at one point sure, but it has an active e sports and competitive scene. Paladins is the game with the dying esports scene, players didn’t even have base salaries this year, so most quit playing. It’s kind’ve a joke.

Yes, all my friends said this just to end up playing the other 3 games...
Amazes me a bit how I explain that the game gets exciting once you get a hand of load outs and talents, but most people pick Viktor and barely read the talent and load out and just go and shoot, then complain its boring, when Viktor himself it's boring if played that way.

Apex kinda works well from what i know, Valorant loses players quickly and that contorversy really didnt help them.
OW is a mess, its disgusting how bad it got. Effectively feels like the game slowly regresses back into alpha stages while keeping this mascara on to pretend to be a well polished game.

My significant other few months ago convinced me to play Paladins with him. I'm not - or at least was not - type of guy to like shooters, at all, I played games like Alicia Online and Star Stable Online, horse games, because I like horses and tbh SSO was always full of bugs and AO is actually a revived game being worked on by few ppl for no gain at all, completelly free game, so that is full of bugs too, so when I came onto Paladins - 10 days before Community BP ended, I started to actually enjoy the game a lot. I disliked shooters mostly bcs of lack of colors - mostly war colors like brown and green and just guns and guns, not fan of that at all, I'm an artist, I want my games colorful and creative and Paladins surprised me, so much colors, creative playstyles and so much freedom. I know that ppl who came from some games that don't have server issues and tons bugs were surprised how much Paladins has of that, but I came from laggy games with tons of bugs, so I kinda expected that and am able to work through that. But matchmaking sucks, that's true.
