4th of July Festivities 😬

Questions

Are your areas having them?

I'm in Montgomery County, in the 45424 zip code where cases are rising the fastest. Huber Heights, which encompasses the majority of that zip code, is moving forward with the annual parade, food truck rally, and fireworks. They've cancelled the festival, but I would guess it's because even carnies (sp?) know better than to do this during a pandemic.

I thought everyone was canceling things. No way I'm going to put myself in a petri dish with all the chuckle fucks that aren't taking this seriously

We went hiking last week at Indian Lake and there were signs all over for a boat show and fireworks on Father's Day 😐

Didn’t you get the memo? Everyone is stupid and over the virus, everything as normal!

People have to get back to work and that is enough to stop the virus.

Fireworks you can social distance for. People view them all over the city. You will get people that don't, but you get that everywhere. Last chart I saw said Dayton area had R0 of .95. that isn't the highest.

From what I have seen, many places are cancelling them, or moving them to Labor day. Some still are going on. Most of the reason I have seen are financial reasons, not COVID-19. Might just be a less political reason.
