I ask in earnest. We're already curbing spending, sticking to a budget, saving for our future. What else can be done? What, if any, financial priorities shift? Should we focus on cash on hand, longer term savings, stocking up on necessities, reducing debt?

Edit: lots of great suggestions here, thank you all! Also lots to think about in terms of priorities, etc.

Are your areas having them?

I'm in Montgomery County, in the 45424 zip code where cases are rising the fastest. Huber Heights, which encompasses the majority of that zip code, is moving forward with the annual parade, food truck rally, and fireworks. They've cancelled the festival, but I would guess it's because even carnies (sp?) know better than to do this during a pandemic.

So, sorry in advance for the incoming wall of text. Also, I hope I don't butcher the formatting, I usually am on mobile and am on the computer for once, so IDK if I'm getting it right.

My husband and I have been friends with another couple K (female) and M (male) for about eleven years. We met them through K's older sister, who I had had a tumultuous friendship with since childhood which has since ended. We have kids of similar age and often would hang out with and without the kids. We were all pretty close, went on trips together, relied on each other for stuff, etc. We live in the same neighborhood.

Over the past couple years, K and I have drifted apart. S

Hi everyone,

So, I'm dying for some fried green tomatoes. Anyone know a restaurant that currently has them on the menu? I tried Googling but didn't find much. I've searched for frozen premade ones I could throw in the air fryer, but the best I came up with was a whole case at GFS for $65. I'd be willing to make from scratch, but buying green tomatoes seems unlikely this time of year.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I recently became a Trustee of our HOA.

Edit to add: in Ohio.

Our pool manager has been advertising to hire lifeguards and has in the ad that HOA residents will receive preference. Is this legal? He also had a thing requiring applicants to list swimsuit and shirt size, which can't possibly be legal, right?

Thanks in advance.

I was just elected to our BOD. We're approximately 1100 single family homes in the suburbs. We operate a pool with manager and life guard staff, several green areas, several playgrounds, 1 FT and one PT maintenance / landscaper. We have a couple well-attended annual activities and some newer activities that are gaining steam. We don't really have any rules regarding property maintenance and no ability to collect fines other than late fees / liens for unpaid assessments.

Over the past six months there was a significant shift in power and we are trying to fix some inherited problems (small reserve and never had a reserve study done, old facilities in need of replacement / repair, insufficient
