MSI B450 Tomahawk Motherboard that comes out of the box Ryzen 3000 Ready?
So I recently purchased a used MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard (trusted vendor, I'be bought pc parts from them that work fine with no issue) to pair it with a Ryzen 3900x that I had also bought. I completely understand that this ISN'T the ideal motherboard for that CPU, I've already made that assessment. My question is if there's a regular version of this motherboard (I.E. non-Max, Standard Tomahawk) that comes with the updated bios needed to support Ryzen 3000 processors. The box that comes with it does clearly shows it's the standard version of the board, but what's thrown me off completely is the AMD stamp saying it's Ryzen 3000 desktop ready. From my understanding, I had assumed that I needed to flash the BIOS to a newer version in order for the board to actually be compatible. I really don't want to bother with flashing the BIOS if I don't have to. Anyone bought a regular B450 Tomahawk that this happened to be the case, or can confirm with me otherwise? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

The Tomahawk Max does. For the non-Max version, you should ask the seller to update it for you. You can also do it yourself since the Tomahawk has a Bios Flashback button.
Yea bro, that's why it's so confusing. I've seen two versions of the box, one that says Ryzen 2000 ready in silver and the other that says Ryzen 3000 ready in orange. The latter was a standard B450 Tomahawk also, it wasn't a Max variant. I kept reading posts that a BIOS update WAS required in order to work with Ryzen 3000, that's why I'm so conflicted right now lol. As far as the seller updating it for me, that's not necessary. I would know how to do it without the cpu. I just want confirmation that there are in fact Tomahawk boards, regular, non-MAX ones that DO come with the updated BIOS.
