Feature request - Backup and sync exclusions

In Backup and Sync, it is currently not possible to exclude sub-folders given a pattern.

For example, if we select a folder to add to the backup list, there isn’t a way to tell it to exclude certain sub-folder patterns. This was specifically a request to duplicate a feature of other backup software which allowed both file and folder pattern exclusions:

File wildcard
*.exe, *.rpm, *.tmp, .iso, xchatlogs, logs, .xsession, *.dmg, *.pkg, *.app, *.pvm, *.vmdk, *.class, *.war, *.ear, *.vdi

Folder wildcard
*.git, *.svn, *.cvs, Cache, cache, *.app, .pvm, .vmwarevm, target, build
