Anyone supporting users in Egypt? Apparently the government there has banned VPNs. It's not clear whether we can register ours and get an exception or not. Curious if anyone has solved this problem.

Looking to move all of our on-prem file shares to FSX.
The AWS docs seem to point to recreating everything by hand or via Powershell CLI, I'm hoping there's a migration tool / doc somewhere to copy over existing shares and permissions.

Normally I'd just export the Registry keys for the shares and permissions but can't import them with FSX. :/

If you're booked through Jan 31st you can cancel on the website without having to call just by putting in your booking info. There's a button on the main page that takes you to the form.

Trying to reschedule our Cruise this month, COVID has wrecked our plans. Whenever you ring up 1800CARNIVAL it tells you they're so busy they won't be able to serve you to call back later. Then hangs up on you. Since this is the only way to reschedule / Cancel it's pretty appalling that they won't allow you to wait on hold. I'm assuming there's a huge backlog of people rescheduling since they shutdown for Christmas.

Trying to migrate from on-prem to AWS hosted SCCM primary site server. I don't see a reason the MS SQL DB for SCCM can't be in RDS but I can't find anything from Microsoft saying it's supported. Anyone running their database this way or do I need to go MS SQL on an EC2 instance?

In Backup and Sync, it is currently not possible to exclude sub-folders given a pattern.

For example, if we select a folder to add to the backup list, there isn’t a way to tell it to exclude certain sub-folder patterns. This was specifically a request to duplicate a feature of other backup software which allowed both file and folder pattern exclusions:

Talked with Google today about their lack of linux desktop support. Apparently the only way to get these tools moved onto the roadmap is with up votes. So if you want Google Drive and Backup and sync clients for linux desktops please upvote the feature request. (requires you to be a gsuite admin)
