Amazon locker eligibility for products?

I frequently use amazon pickup locations (lockers) as a preference because it makes it easy where I live, avoids package thefts, and avoids my package sitting in the hot sun.

However I’ve recently try to buy an item that I purchased from the same seller in February. I can no longer deliver to an amazon locker. I see it’s because it’s not fulfilled by amazon.

Was there some policy change at amazon that required products to be fulfilled directly by them in order to use locker/hub? This was a great option and idk why they changed it.

It has always been this way, if it's not shipped by Amazon it isn't eligible for a locker. UPS and USPS don't have access to those.

Actually, UPS delivered a package for me to a locker on July 7th (I had to look it up to confirm).

I get denied locker delivery sometimes because Amazon says the package is too big and/or heavy. This raises an eyebrow because the packages usually end up being not so big and not so heavy.

If I get denied a locker, and they send it USPS, then I have to ride the bus and take a 10 minute walk to the post office to pick up my package.

It's always been that way, delivery drivers from other companies have no way of accessing Amazon lockers. They didn't change anything, I think the seller just switched to shipping themselves instead of fulfillment by Amazon.
