I notice real estate ownership and investment has a lot of mixed opinions in this communit.
I own a house valued at about $400K no mortgage in a major metro area. It’s a smaller house and older 1970s built but in a desirable area and highly rentable.
The thing is I’m planning to move away soon likely to a lower cost of living location. I know the house provides some security but I don’t plan to move back. Would it make better sense for financial purposes to keep this house and rent it out? Currently 45, single, no children, NW ~1.5m outside property
$600K estimated home in a high cost of living area in a suburb that is considered a hot market. I own it free and clear no mortgage. Wtf should I pay $30K+ of my hard earned equity to some realtor to throw it on the listing service, and part of that amount going toward a buyer agent whose job is to get me to lower the price?
Can someone explain this? Is there some magic a great agent can do to sell it faster and get me higher than market price that’s worth paying such a percentage in equity.
Is it impossible for me to just FSBO? or are there alternative?
House is in a high cost of living area, has no mortgage. I currently plan to live in the area for the next 2-3 years, he already lives elsewhere. Not sure yet if I would rent it but is highly rentable location. Valued ~600K but accounts for about 20% of our combined assets.
Is selling immediately always the best approach or is it worth keeping for now?
I’ve been skiing on and off for years and find myself with great form easily carving with speed on any green and in flatter blue runs, but on most blacks and some steeper blues I tend to ”wedge” more in my turns and/or skid. Keeping the skis more parallel becomes impossible for me in turns when it’s steep.
Any hints on how to improve? Its not like I can’t effectively parallel turn and carve, but as soon as it gets steeper I regress.
Why must I be spammed with a car insurance ad every 5 minutes on YT and social media and everywhere? How often is someone really buying car insurance? And they are loud and obnoxious. Liberty Mutual is the worst. Would never want to use any service from them just because of it
I've been on 150 not even 10 days and have this feeling of pressure in my ears. Like they are constantly filling up and I have the need to constantly equalize them. Has anyone had this?
Been on it for less than 10 days 150xl and have this feeling I need to constantly equalize my ears. Like pressure constantly building up? Some tinnitus as well. Does this go away?
A very knowledgeable friend has offered to help me experience this molecule. This would not be my first time with psychedelics but never before with this.
My worry is that I've had some stressful events in my life recently and concerned how that might impact the trip. I know it can be life changing but I don't know how perfect of a place should one be in before taking this journey.
My partner of 9 years started to become psychotic about 3 months ago. She it got to where she thought the government and the neighbors were spying on us and certain people could read her mind. The issue might have been brought on with an event at her job (she was an ER nurse at the time).
Her symptoms have improved and she has become more grounded but still believes in various delusions. She has refused to get help, except for one appointment with a psych then refused to take medication.
For those who had psychotic episodes does it ever get better on its own or without professional intervention?
First time in Colorado to ski and plan to visit near mid-March. I will be renting a car from DIA and driving to aspen. Is a 4WD/AWD absolutely required for the trip? I know CO has traction laws but not sure how bad conditions they need to be to go into effect. I also know very few/none car rental companies offer snow chains.
Considering a trip early-mid March. Have only went skiing in UT and WY. I would be there W-F and just wondering what the snow conditions and lift lines are around then?
I know no one can predict but just asking for some thoughts from those who are familiar with Vail.
I frequently use amazon pickup locations (lockers) as a preference because it makes it easy where I live, avoids package thefts, and avoids my package sitting in the hot sun.
However I’ve recently try to buy an item that I purchased from the same seller in February. I can no longer deliver to an amazon locker. I see it’s because it’s not fulfilled by amazon.
Was there some policy change at amazon that required products to be fulfilled directly by them in order to use locker/hub? This was a great option and idk why they changed it.
