I literally searched out this subreddit just so I could make this complaint. Amazing that it got through beta testing.
I was going to ask to drop/dismiss individual items/pets in the inventory screen. More is NOT always better.

I had the same thought, like how did nobody on the dev team see this fucking ball as a problem. Its ended about 15% of my total runs so far. It's just a straight imposition for the player! Dropping items and pets is commonplace in rougelites, again, how didn't a single dev think to add this feature. I DONT WANT BLACK RUM!

Yuuuuup. Got this ****ing thing in a run I did where I unlocked explosive shots. Absolutely ruined the run.

Okay so I've seen like 100 posts about the vibrant ball over the past couple days. They are already pretty much dealt with in the new branch experimental beta mode. So they already are going to be changing it. In the new mode u have to unlock it in a skill tree, along with all the other annoying pets. So just wait till that's released officially and you will be able to enjoy the game unless u wanna buy those pets ^_^
I think they actually removed vibrant ball altogether until they change it.
I still don't understand why we would want to buy things that'll make our runs worse? I've never seen a roguelite that does this. Usually you unlock harder monsters which are fine for progression, but moldy hearts?
There are quite a few design choices that absolutely baffle me. How the ball even made it past testing is unbelievable, let alone into the game. There are also so many items that are completely useless. Its like the game only has S and D rank items, nothing in between...
Or matchbox, or fucking black rum.
I had a great egg run going where they buffed me per egg but then I got matchbox and black rum(blows up all egg when you throw gernade). Why is that even a item.
Or Peter, fuck Peter, that pet and the ball have damn near made me uninstall the game a few times.
Ya those two items are plain trash. Like I get a risky item or one that works well in rare situations but those two are just bad.
It's really one of the sloppiest RLs I've ever played. Which I guess says a lot because the core gameplay is really addictive.
