Malicious mischief -2nd edition

Recently caught my new roommate, caught her red-handed btw, puncturing my bike. Long story short; she tried to deny it, and everything's kinda sucked. Since, she denied it I never found out why, and honestly kinda doubted what I had seen.

Anyways, today I woke up to seeing parts of my plant (that was standing in the kitchen) in the trashcan. Long pieces had been taken off. I immediately suspected my roommate and went to her room with the pieces and asked her why she had done it. She denied it at first, then said that it was an accident. I said "oh" and went back to the kitchen only to discover that it had in fact been cut off with a scissor in three different spots. This is the second time she has destroyed my property on purpose and idk whether to report it to the police. It's just a plant, but still. I'm definitely going to tell the landlord though.

The only thing keeping me somewhat calm is the fact that I'm moving just a few days from now. I just had to get this out somewhere. I'm furious on the inside since my plants are my pride and joy. This one I had been growing for 3 years and it was one of my biggest!!..

What a bitch. I’m so sorry you’ve dealt with your property being damaged. My girlfriend is a huge plant fan, she’s got so many houseplants in her room that she’s so proud of so I absolutely understand how devastated the loss of those leaves are. I hope the next few days go well and you make it out untouched further!

Yo, the police probably won't do anything for something this small but go tell the landlord. Take a picture of the leaves and the cut marks on the plant and definitely talk about the bike and don't second guess yourself on it. She sounds like a sociopath.

Better sleep with one eye open.

Never doubt your gut! These types of people are rare, but they exist and almost everyone will have at least one encounter with someone malicious! Do you have a security camera? It wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a cheap one like the battery operated Ring doorbell and just place it in your bedroom just in case she tries anything else...
