27 is my 17
I turned 27 this year. Since my birthday, I've accepted my second ever promotion at work, I've gotten my driver's license (after being out of practice for roughly 7 years), and I've started financing my first car. Despite 2020 being the way it's been, I'm excited (nervous, but also excited). Also, all of these things I've done within the passed week. It's been interesting catching up on all the things I should've taken care of a decade ago!

Congratulations! I'm in the same boat of waiting too long for things but eventually getting them done.
As long as you get things done in the end then what does it matter when it is? I hope the good turns keep on coming!
I feel the same, having delayed many things in life - getting in shape is current one at 34 - but, once you get in the groove, it feels natural and great to just live life and do things.
That's another one I'm working on actually. At 27, I'm actually in better shape than I was at 17. Granted, I haven't been actively working out, but my job keeps me running around. I should hit the gym though so I can get those gains the kids talk about.
I would say it's definitely worth it. It has built up my self image and improved my sense of self worth.
Hey thanks! Here's to normalizing "late bloomers"!
